One week to cross Morocco from south to north. This private tour starts in Marrakech, spends a night in the Sahara at Merzouga, continues to the imperial cities of Fez and Meknes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the blue town of Chefchaouen, and ends in Tangier.
It is ideal if you fly into Marrakech and out of Tangier, or continue to Spain by ferry.

Itineraries
Day 1
Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
Pick-up at your riad or hotel in Marrakech. We cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), visit Ait Ben Haddou and continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.
Day 2
Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga
A walk in the Todra Gorge, then on to Erfoud and Merzouga. Camel ride into the dunes at sunset and night in a Berber camp.
Day 3
Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez
Optional sunrise over the dunes, then north through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, the cedar forest and Ifrane to Fez.
Day 4
Guided tour of Fez
A local guide takes you through the medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its tanneries, madrasas and craft workshops.
Day 5
Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
Visit Meknes, one of the four imperial cities, and the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then continue to Chefchaouen in the Rif mountains.
Day 6
Chefchaouen – Tangier
Free morning in the blue streets of Chefchaouen, then drive to Tangier and visit the city.
Day 7
Tangier – Airport transfer
Free time until your transfer to Tangier airport.
