Five days is the relaxed way to see southern Morocco. This private tour spends a full day around Merzouga, so you can really enjoy the desert, and returns to Marrakech through Rissani, the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate.
Highlights include the Skoura palm grove, the Dades Valley, the Todra Gorge, a 4x4 day on the old Dakar Rally tracks with nomad families and Gnawa music in Khamlia, and a night in a desert camp.

Itineraries
Day 1
Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley
Pick-up in Marrakech at 8:00. We cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, Morocco's highest mountain road, and continue through Ouarzazate and the Skoura palm grove to the Dades Valley for the night.
Day 2
Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga
Walk among the 300-metre walls of the Todra Gorge, then continue to Erfoud and Merzouga. Night near the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 3
Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi desert
A full day exploring the desert by 4x4 along the old Dakar Rally tracks: tea with nomad families, Gnawa music in Khamlia and the dunes. Camel ride at sunset and night in the desert camp.
Day 4
Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga. We visit Rissani and its market and follow the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 5
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, then drive back over the High Atlas to Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon.
