Fez is the closest imperial city to the Erg Chebbi dunes, so two days are enough for a real desert experience. This private trip crosses the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga, where you ride a camel into the dunes and spend the night in a camp.

Itineraries

Day 1

Fez – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Early pick-up at your accommodation in Fez, inside or outside the medina. We cross the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. Camel ride into the dunes at sunset, dinner and night in the camp.

Day 2

Merzouga – Rissani – Fez

Sunrise over the Sahara dunes, breakfast at the camp and drive back to Fez via Rissani, arriving in the evening.
